Meet our Board Members

Larry Wallace—President/Co-Founder

Larry Wallace is the Co-Founder and President of the FACES Foundation.  A very devoted family man, he has been married for 45 years and has two grown children.  In addition, he has four grandsons who are very important to him.  Larry’s first grandson, Hunter, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the early age of 14 months and since then he has taken a proactive role in supporting the treatment and care of children with ASD, as well as finding ways to help families living with autism.

Larry is a regional sales manager for an international fluid power company and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Lutheran College.  He is a faithful and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and enjoys golfing, hunting, cooking and spending time with family.

Tammie Gibson—Vice President

Tammie is a former Jr. High School teacher who currently teaching 3rd grade in Tomball.  She has also worked for two different magazines, proof reading and editing.  Tammie holds a B.S in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in School Business Administration.  
 
Tammie is a wife and the mother of three beautiful children.  Her seven-year old son, Joey, was diagnosed with autism around his second birthday.   Her passions include spending time with family and friends, entertaining, traveling and volunteering for various causes.

Drew Hesson

Drew is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Industrial Distribution. He currently is the president of Iron Accents, Inc., an iron and steel custom design and fabrication company specializing in furniture and lighting fixtures.  Drew is active in several professional organizations including the American Society of Interior Design Industry Partners, as well as, other philanthropic pursuits.
 
Drew became the father of a child diagnosed with Autism in 2006. Since that time he has become deeply involved in the issues surrounding ASD—causes, cures, treatment, and care. He joined the board of FACES in 2007 to become even more involved in helping children and families living
with ASD receive services that are proven to bring about improvement.
 
He is a dedicated husband and father to two boys.  His personal interests include music, as he is an accomplished bass guitarist, and traveling.

Deane Hafling

Deane is a financial advisor with Edward Jones.  After graduating from Texas A & M with a major in Management Information Systems, he spent eight years in the oil and gas industry.  He later earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston in 2001.  He now operates his own business.
 
Deane has two children—Michael, who is autistic, and Katherine. He has been married to his wife, Caroline, for over ten years.

Sarah Wallace

Sarah Wallace is a wife and mother of two precious sons. In addition, she is an independent distributor for Premier Designs Jewelry. Prior to being home with her children full-time, she worked in a human resources/staffing capacity for six years at Compaq and Hewlett-Packard.  She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah has a nephew who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a very young age. Consequently, she developed a desire to be involved in activities to raise awareness for ASD and the available outlets which support families living with the disorder.

Joseph Gibson

Joseph is an attorney in private practice in the Houston area.
 
His seven-year old son, Joey, was diagnosed with autism around his second birthday.  Joseph is a loving and devoted husband and the proud father of three great kids.  Joseph enjoys spending time with his family, golf, and traveling.

Catherine Badger

Catherine is licensed by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and has been practicing Design for over 20 years.  She received her BS degree in Design from the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Design in 1987.  Her career has included work with well respected firms such as Skidmore Owings and Merril, GN Associates in New York, and Zigler Cooper Architects.  She started her own practice in 2000 with work being published in Restaurant/Hotel Design, Architecture Digest, and Modern Luxury.
 
Catherine is committed to giving back to the community and enjoys working with children's charities.  She is currently on the board of The Boys and Girls Harbor which she has served for four years.  She is also on the board of her women's business networking group, The Sterling
Group, which she has been a member of since 1994. 
 
Catherine married her husband Peter Badger in 1993.  They have two beautiful children; their son Carson 11 and their daughter Parker 9. Catherine is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She enjoys traveling, scuba diving, water skiing, and sharing quality time as a family.
